[edit] Members of the Electrical Contractors Association join the 5% Club
Several ECA Members have been recognised for their commitment to employee development by joining the 5% Club, an industry led initiative focussed on driving momentum into the recruitment of apprentices, graduates, T-Level students and sponsored students.
The ECA Members recently recognised by the initiative include:
- Balfour Beatty
- BGEN
- Dodd Group
- ESG
- Vinci
The 5% Club is a movement of more than 1,000 employers providing ‘earn and learn’ opportunities to develop the skills and talents people need to become more employable and create meaningful careers.
Companies joining The 5% Club commit to raising the number of apprentices, sponsored students and graduates on formal programmes to 5% of their total workforce within five years. Members are also asked to publicly report their progress in their Annual Report.

[edit] About the 5% Club
"The 5% Club is a dynamic movement of employers committed to earn & learn as part of building and developing the workforce they need as part of a socially mobile, prosperous and cohesive nation. The Club exists to help its members and all employers increase further the number, quality and range of earn & learn opportunities across the UK." Indication is that the 5% Club was founded by Leo Quinn in 2013.
"By joining The 5% Club, members aspire to achieve 5% of their workforce in earn and learn positions (including apprentices, sponsored students and graduates on formalised training schemes) within five years of joining.
The organisation now represents more than 1,100 organisations across the UK, all committed to providing ‘earn and learn’ opportunities for their workforce. The members collectively employ more than 1.9 million employees, 81,000 apprentices, 18,000 people on graduate programmes and 9,000 sponsored students
